77th Meeting of the Council of Heads of Customs Services of the Commonwealth of Independent States

The Chairman of the Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Akmalkhuja Mavlonov, attended the 77th meeting of the Council of Heads of Customs Services of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. Representing Armenia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Russia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan, the Council discussed various agreements and treaties, as well as the proposal to establish a Center for Expertise and Research of Customs Services of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States. Additionally, the parties discussed the introduction of educational and professional programs, the use of navigation seals, the regulation of the import of goods by individuals in parts, and the achievement of a unified approach to reflecting the gross weight of goods in customs declarations. Furthermore, the Council discussed simplifying transit transportation, preventing emergencies at border customs posts, and eliminating their consequences. It was decided that the next meeting of the Council would be held in Uzbekistan in the first half of 2024.
