The 24th FIGO World Congress of Gynecology and Obstetrics was held in Paris on October 9-12, with more than 8 thousand delegates from over 130 countries in attendance. Among them was a delegation from Uzbekistan, comprised of specialists from the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Maternal and Child Health, as well as chairpersons and board members of the Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Uzbekistan.
Natalya Nadirkhanova, a board member of the Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Uzbekistan, commented on the importance of the event for the country: “The state policy of Uzbekistan in healthcare puts priority on protecting the health of mothers and children, improving reproductive health, and increasing access to medical care. To achieve these goals, the government has implemented several programs that are based on the Sustainable Development Goals. This congress is an opportunity for our specialists to learn from international best practices.”
At the conference, experts presented their best practices and discussed them in five parallel sessions. Public events were also held, allowing experts to network and exchange their views.
