Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan Amanbay Orinbayev welcomed the visit of representatives from the World Bank who are currently working in Uzbekistan. During the meeting, the discussion focused on the possibility of securing grant funds from the World Bank to support the development of the livestock sector in Karakalpakstan. It was announced that this year, the Republic of Karakalpakstan will receive a grant of $5 million for this purpose. These funds will be utilized to purchase laboratory equipment for embryo production in order to enhance the quality of cattle breeds. Additionally, plans were made to provide essential resources such as two special disinfection vehicles, a 5-ton freezer, and various other equipment to improve the material and technical base of the Veterinary and Livestock Development Committee and the veterinary service.
