From June 10 to 18, the State Academic Grand Theatre of Uzbekistan, named after Alisher Navoi, will be hosting Verdi Week. This event is being organized by the theatre’s creative team in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The program will showcase exceptional performances of renowned masterpieces such as Un Ballo in Maschera, La Traviata, Il Trovatore, and Rigoletto. The event will also feature a special appearance by Giuseppe Fortunino Francesco Verdi, considered one of the most significant figures in the world of opera and the pinnacle of 19th-century Italian opera. Verdi’s impressive body of work includes 26 operas, a requiem, a string quartet, and several sacred pieces, as recognized by art experts.
