Uzbekistan’s Open Policy Results in High Achievements, Recognized by UN Coordinator

UN Resident Coordinator Sabine Machl paid a visit to the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan. During the meeting with Senate Chairperson Tanzila Narbayeva, discussions were held on ongoing projects, future plans, Sustainable Development Goals, and efforts towards human rights and gender equality. Machl praised Uzbekistan for its remarkable progress in recent years, attributing it to the country’s open policy and extensive reforms, which serve as a model for other nations. The meeting also saw the proposal for joint collaboration on the “16 days of activism against gender-based violence” project and the development of training programs to enhance the performance of local councils.
