Uzbekistan students to attend Freiberg Mining Academy, as part of a delegation from the University of Geological Sciences during their visit to Germany. The university representatives were introduced to the operations of the academy and held discussions with the Director of the Institute of Mineralogy, Professor Gerhard Heide, about potential areas of collaboration. The delegation, accompanied by members of the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology, also had the opportunity to tour the institute’s museum.

Meetings were also held with the head of the International Center of the Freiberg Mining Academy, where information was shared about the institution’s international initiatives and programs for students.

As a result of these discussions, a memorandum will be signed between the University of Geological Sciences and the Freiberg Mining Academy to establish an academic mobility program. This agreement will allow for two undergraduate and two graduate students to study at the German academy for one semester.
