About 30 rectors from Kyrgyzstan and the same number from Uzbekistan, along with senior officials from ministries and agencies, are currently participating in a conference titled “Features of Higher Education and Science Development in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan in Modern Times.” This conference is being led by Kyrgyz Republic’s Minister of Education and Science, Dogdurkul Kendirbayeva.
The Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan, Kongratebay Sharipov, and the Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, Dogdurkul Kendirbayeva, acknowledged that bilateral relations are flourishing due to the active foreign policies of both countries’ leaders.
Dogdurkul Kendirbayeva, the Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan, expressed confidence that joint efforts will lead to further achievements and success in higher education and science.
As part of a teacher exchange program, approximately 100 specialists from Kyrgyzstan’s universities are currently working at various universities in Uzbekistan, including the National University of Uzbekistan, Samarkand State University, Namangan Institute of Engineering and Technology, Andijan Machine-Building Institute, Urgench State University, Bukhara State Medical Institute, and Navoi State University of Mining and Technology.
During the conference, it was emphasized that one of the main goals in education is to establish a stable system for training highly qualified personnel. In order to achieve this, cooperation must be expanded.
There are plans to sign memorandums of understanding, agreements, and roadmaps for the exchange of teaching staff and students, as well as joint organization of educational processes. Additionally, resolutions from the Second Forum of University Rectors of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan will be adopted.
