In recent years, under the direct leadership of the President, New Uzbekistan has been enhancing its strong collaboration with the global community in various areas such as cultural, economic, and tourism exchanges. The international community has also shown its support and recognition for the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan. The country’s embassy in Kuwait organized presentations to showcase practical outcomes in investment, export, and tourism potential. These discussions covered topics such as foreign trade development, activities in free economic and industrial zones, favorable conditions for foreign investors, and the development of modern tourism infrastructure. Furthermore, examples of close cooperation include the launch of direct flights from Kuwait City to Tashkent and Namangan by Jazeera Airways. The simplified visa regime has also allowed citizens of Kuwait and 90 other countries to enter Uzbekistan without a visa. Kuwaiti travelers have shown a keen interest in gastronomic, ecological, and winter tourism destinations, as well as tourist attractions in Uzbekistan’s mountainous regions. Kuwaiti businesses have also been actively involved in large-scale projects through public-private partnerships. Negotiations have been held with potential employers and recruitment companies in Kuwait to attract qualified specialists from Uzbekistan. The Uzbekistan delegation also discussed this matter with various Kuwaiti companies, including Kuwait Agriculture Company, Gulf Care Trade, AlJaber Group Holding, NBTC Group, Me Career, Brunel Energy Kuwait, Diversity Tech, and Courtyard by Marriott Hotel. The media in Kuwait has also been actively covering the strengthening and expansion of cooperation between the two countries. Talks have taken place regarding investments by Al Tijaria company in promising projects in Uzbekistan, particularly in real estate, agriculture, tourism, and infrastructure development. The upcoming 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, which will be held in Samarkand in 2025, has also generated great interest among Kuwaitis. The Uzbekistan-Kuwait Business Forum, scheduled for February 16 at the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is expected to further strengthen the ties between the two nations. The delegation from Syrdarya region will introduce the forum participants to the potential of the region in eco-tourism and gastronomic tourism. The rapid development of tourism in Syrdarya region, along with the increasing number of foreign visitors, is expected to pique the interest of Kuwaitis in this unique destination. Manuchehr Mirzayev, the Head of the Information Service of Syrdarya Regional Administration and Advisor to the Regional Hokim for Information Policy, is confident that the upcoming forum will be a success.
