Uzbekistan-Japan: Strengthening Relations

A group headed by the President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency, Akihiko Tanaka, paid a visit to the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

During the meeting, discussions were held between the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Sodiq Safoyev, and the Japanese delegates regarding educational programs, exchanges of students and teachers, and collaborative projects aimed at promoting sustainable development and addressing pressing global issues.

As part of the visit, A. Tanaka was honored with the title of Honorary Doctor by the University of World Economy.

Additionally, the distinguished guest delivered a lecture to the students on “Challenges of Sustainable Global Development and Prospects for International Cooperation”, highlighting the significance of collective efforts among nations in addressing global challenges such as climate change, economic inequality, and sustainable development.
