The delegation from Uzbekistan, including members of the Oliy Majlis and experts from the Ministry of Health and the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency, traveled to Singapore to gain knowledge on the production of biotechnological products using cellular technologies and legislative regulations in this field. During their visit, the delegation held discussions at prominent scientific and medical institutions such as the National University Cancer Institute of Singapore (NCIS), the National University Health System (NUHS), and the Advanced Cell Therapy and Research Institute (ACTRIS). They also had the opportunity to observe the operations of specialized companies, including Esco Lifesciences and Gene Oasis. The delegation focused on studying Singapore’s practices in cell and gene cell therapy, clinical trial organization, and production processes that adhere to international GMP standards. Emphasis was placed on understanding the regulatory framework, which is crucial for the future development of this industry. It is anticipated that the knowledge and practices gained will be utilized in establishing a regulatory framework for the establishment of a Center for Regenerative Medicine and Biotechnology Development in Uzbekistan.
