A journalist from Oman’s Al Roya Press and Publishing, Ibrahim bin Salem Al-Hadi, who came to Uzbekistan to report on the elections in the country, visited the Uzbekistan National News Agency today. During the meeting with the Director General of UzA, the guest praised the innovative approach to the election process in Uzbekistan, which includes the use of electronic devices and a mixed voting system in accordance with the renewed Constitution and national election laws.
According to Al-Hadi, this year’s elections are a practical outcome of the democratic reforms in Uzbekistan. He noted that the polling stations were fully compliant with the law and the recent reforms have led to an improvement in people’s well-being and increased political knowledge and thinking.
The journalist also highlighted the cheerful, hospitable, and open-minded nature of the Uzbek people. He expressed his admiration for their openness to innovation while also preserving their rich history and traditions. Al-Hadi stated that he was always drawn to this land.
After the meeting, it was agreed to sign a Cooperation Agreement between UzA and Oman News Agency (ONA) and Al Roya Press and Publishing for regular exchange of information and mutual coverage of news from both countries.
