Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan Strengthen Collaboration in Healthcare

The Head of the Medical Center of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Alexei Tsoi, led a delegation to meet with the Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Asilbek Khudayarov. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan, Beibut Atamkulov, was also present at the event. During the visit, the delegation toured the Central Consultative and Diagnostic Polyclinic No. 1 of the Main Medical Department under the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan. The two countries have been steadily developing mutually beneficial cooperation in healthcare, with over 100 students from Kazakhstan currently studying in Uzbekistan’s higher medical institutions. A joint educational program has been established between the Bukhara State Medical Institute and the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, and surgical operations with the participation of Kazakh colleagues have become a regular occurrence in Uzbekistan’s medical institutions. Minister Asilbek Khudayarov proposed further collaboration in this area. The meeting also discussed future plans, with Alexey Tsoi sharing information about the management system at the Medical Center of the President’s Affairs Administration of Kazakhstan, which can help improve staff capacity and treatment quality.
