On December 5, the foreign ministries of Uzbekistan and Georgia convened for their regular political consultations in Tbilisi. The Uzbekistan delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bobur Usmanov, and the Georgian side was represented by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Khvtisiashvili.
At the meeting, the two sides reviewed the current state of bilateral relations and discussed ways to enhance their collaboration in various spheres, such as politics, trade, economy, culture, humanitarian affairs, and tourism. In addition, they focused on strengthening ties in culture, education, and other relevant areas.
In light of the upcoming 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Georgia in 2024, the two parties agreed to devise a plan of joint activities to commemorate the event. Moreover, they exchanged views on regional and international matters. UzA
