Uzbekistan and China have joined forces to establish a new company, Silk Road Energy Planning and Engineering, which was launched by JSC Uzenergoengineering in collaboration with the China Energy Power Planning and Engineering Institute (EPPEI). To commemorate this milestone, a presentation was held, attended by representatives from government agencies, foreign and domestic experts.

The EPPEI, a key player in energy sector development, has a track record of success in implementing renewable energy sources and shaping national digitalization strategies. They have previously worked in countries such as Malaysia, Brazil, the Philippines, Laos, Mongolia, and others.

The joint venture between EPPEI and JSC Uzenergoengineering, Silk Road Energy Planning and Engineering, aims to bring international best practices to Uzbekistan. This partnership will assist the Uzbek government in creating top-notch energy development strategies and plans, taking into account factors such as the population and economy’s needs, available resources, and international experience. The joint venture also seeks to contribute to the digitalization of electrical networks.

The Silk Road Energy Planning and Engineering also strives to enhance the skills of local specialists to meet international standards and increase their involvement in investment projects. By doing so, the joint venture aims to reduce the cost of investment projects and strengthen Uzbekistan’s economic independence.
