The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has embarked on a working visit to Hungary at the invitation of the Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organisation of Turkic States, Binali Yildirim. He will be participating in the 16th meeting of the Council of the United Territories of Turkmenistan as a member of the Council of Elders and an honorary guest. Officials at the capital’s International Airport saw off Hero-Arkadag.
As part of its foreign policy strategy based on positive neutrality and peacefulness, Turkmenistan is committed to building constructive dialogue with all interested parties, including through comprehensive interaction with authoritative international and regional organizations. Therefore, the National Leader’s visit to Budapest and participation in the Council of Elders meeting is a significant step towards strengthening multifaceted relations with the UTG and member states of the Organisation, based on the principles of good neighborliness, mutual understanding, and fruitful cooperation.
It is worth noting that the partnership between Turkmenistan and Hungary has consistently strengthened since the establishment of diplomatic relations, with a focus on parity and mutual respect. High-level contacts, such as the official visits of the President of Hungary to Turkmenistan in 2011 and the Prime Minister’s visit to Ashgabat in 2023, as well as the official visit of Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Hungary in 2014 and the working visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Budapest in 2023, are of particular importance.
Upon arrival in Budapest, Hero Arkadag’s plane landed at Ferenc Liszt International Airport, where he was greeted by officials.
