A delegation led by Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Mujib, the Attorney General of Saudi Arabia, arrived in Samarkand. The delegation was invited by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Officials from the Regional Prosecutor’s Office welcomed the guests at Samarkand Railway Station. The guests also visited the tomb of Imam Bukhari, a renowned Hadith scholar in the Islamic world, and were briefed on the reconstruction project and the construction of the complex. They expressed their interest in visiting the complex again after its completion next year. The delegation also visited the Afrasiab Museum, where they watched a video on the history of Samarkand and its formation, and viewed the exhibits. They also visited Registan Square, a symbol of the intelligence of their ancestors, and learned about its creation and the construction of a madrasah.
