The official visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Zhaparov, was concluded after being invited by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
During the two-day program, there were productive discussions between the leaders, resulting in the signing of a Joint Statement to further strengthen and enhance their comprehensive strategic partnership.
A significant number of bilateral agreements were adopted, and major joint projects were initiated in the energy, automotive, and textile industries.
The presidents also attended a joint concert featuring artists from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
Continuing their discussions, the leaders visited Khiva where they toured the production facilities of the Khiva Gilamlari carpet factory and an exhibition showcasing products under the “Made in Uzbekistan” brand.
Additionally, the leaders and their spouses explored the historical and architectural treasures of the ancient oasis city.
At the end of the visit, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his spouse bid farewell to President Sadyr Zhaparov and his spouse at Urgench International Airport.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev then departed for Tashkent.
