The state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to France has commenced

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has arrived in Paris for a state visit, invited by the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron.

Upon arrival, the Minister for National Education, Higher Education and Research of France, Élisabeth Borne, Military Governor of Paris Loïc Mizon, and other officials welcomed the Leader of Uzbekistan at the airport.

In honor of the distinguished guest, the national flags of both countries were raised and a guard of honor was assembled at the VIP Lounge of Orly International Airport.

At the residence where the Uzbekistan delegation is staying, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was warmly greeted by a group of compatriots, including students, professionals, and researchers in France. The Head of state had a sincere conversation with them, wishing them success in their studies and research. 

The main events of the visit are scheduled for today, March 12. 

According to the visit program, high-level talks between Uzbekistan and France will take place at the Élysée Palace. 

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will also have a meeting with UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay and participate in a roundtable discussion with representatives of leading French companies and banks.
