The Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Nuriddin Ismailov, met with the outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Uzbekistan, Oleg Malginov.
During the meeting, Mr. Ismailov expressed his appreciation for the Ambassador’s significant efforts in developing and strengthening the relationship between Uzbekistan and Russia, as well as promoting multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
It was highlighted that, with the Ambassador’s active involvement and support, there has been a systematic dialogue and successful contacts at various levels, resulting in significant achievements in the trade and economic sectors.
The meeting also focused on further enhancing inter-parliamentary cooperation, particularly within international parliamentary structures.
Both parties expressed satisfaction with the strengthening of cooperation between the parliaments of Uzbekistan and Russia each year. It was also noted that the close relationship between the leaders of the two countries is crucial in building mutual trust and deepening inter-parliamentary cooperation.
The Interparliamentary Commission for Cooperation between the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation was also recognized for its significant role in strengthening inter-parliamentary ties.
