On April 23, a phone call took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The President of Uzbekistan offered sincere condolences and support to the leader and people of Kazakhstan following the loss of life due to widespread floods in the country.
It was emphasized that these natural disasters are a result of recent negative climate changes in the region.
Both leaders agreed to continue working closely together in this area.
The Presidents discussed current matters regarding the strengthening of friendly neighborly relations, strategic partnership, and alliance between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, in line with the agreements made during a recent meeting in Khiva.
They also discussed issues on the regional agenda and the schedule of upcoming high-level events.
