During his trip, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a briefing on the current state of the development of New Navoi town.

During the visit, the Head of state engaged in discussions with members of the older generation and intellectuals.

During his address, the President explained the purpose of building new towns, stating that with a growing population of 38 million, it is essential to provide a solid foundation for the people. The focus is on creating opportunities for the younger generation to work and live with dignity in their hometowns.

The project involves the transfer of 1,100 hectares of land from Karmana district to Navoi city. The first phase will cover 450 hectares.

The town will feature residential buildings ranging from 7 to 22 storeys, secondary schools for 4,170 students, kindergartens for 1,620 children, and a clinic. It will also house the New Uzbekistan Park and the new campus of the Navoi State Pedagogical Institute.

Despite the developed industry in Navoi region, the potential of the service sector has not been fully utilized. To address this, the town will also have recreational areas, entertainment centers, shops, and dining options.

The construction of the town will be overseen by a project directorate, and land plots will be auctioned electronically. Investment agreements will be made with the winning construction companies.
