At the request of the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has arrived in Malaysia on the evening of February 4 for an official visit. At Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the President of Uzbekistan was greeted by the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Malaysia, Johari bin Abdul, Minister of Higher Education Zambry Abdul Kadir, and other officials. A guard of honor was formed and the flags of both countries were raised in honor of the arrival of the Uzbekistan leader. The President also had a meeting with the Speaker of the Malaysian Parliament at the airport, where they discussed the agenda for upcoming high-level meetings. The main focus of the discussions was on enhancing cooperation and exchanges at the parliamentary level, organizing mutual visits and events for existing friendship groups, and collaborating on legislative activities.
