During his visit to Abu Dhabi on January 14, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a meeting with a delegation of top companies from the United Arab Emirates, headed by the Minister of Investment and Managing Director of ADQ holding, Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi.
The meeting was attended by the heads of AD Ports Group, Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Tadweer Ali Al Dhaheri, Plenary Group, Moustafa Fahour, and DUCAB, Mohammed Al Qurashi.
These companies are global leaders in their respective industries, with a combined total of over $200 billion in assets.
The discussion focused on the potential for expanding practical cooperation and increasing investments in high-tech industries.
The fruitful partnership between Uzbekistan and the UAE in various sectors of the economy was highlighted, and joint efforts to promote investments and develop industries and advanced technologies were recognized.
Concrete steps were outlined to further enhance mutually beneficial cooperation with each company, including joint projects in infrastructure, urban development, energy, transportation, logistics, mining, electrical engineering, public utilities, and others.
The parties also agreed to accelerate the implementation of projects involving innovative technologies, development of rare earth metal deposits, regional railway development, creation of dry ports, production of cable products, and promotion of public-private partnerships in education and healthcare.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to adopt a roadmap for practical cooperation in all areas.
