Tashkent recently hosted the Third International Congress and Exhibition “Pharma Uzbekistan and Central Asia”.

This significant event brought together leaders of investment projects, major corporations, government bodies, regulatory and supervisory authorities, licensors of production technologies, developers, manufacturers, equipment suppliers, engineering and design companies, and technology and service providers.

The congress was attended by delegations led by CEOs and technical directors from over 200 companies, including Uzgermed, Mediopharm, Dora Line, Nika Pharm, Nobel Pharmsanoat, Zuma Pharma, Grand Pharm Trade, Dori-Darmon, Dentafill Plus, LAFZ, Novopharma Plus, and others.

The main focus of the event was discussing major investment projects for the construction and modernization of production facilities, as well as exploring ways to increase efficiency in existing pharmaceutical companies.

The congress, organized with the support of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, featured lectures on the role of government regulation and support in the development of the pharmaceutical sector, dialogue between the government and businesses, prospects and challenges of the pharmaceutical market in Uzbekistan and Central Asia, and the goals and opportunities of the industry in light of new state initiatives and projects.
