The University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted a presentation for a special issue of the socio-political, scientific-educational journal “Vatan”, which has gained popularity among scientific, academic, and political circles.
Among the attendees were representatives from the Presidential Administration, members of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, leaders from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Federation of Trade Unions, esteemed diplomats, ambassadors of Uzbekistan abroad (via videoconferencing), heads of the diplomatic corps accredited in Uzbekistan, as well as individuals from scientific and academic institutions, international organizations, prominent foreign and local media, faculty, and students from UWED.
In his opening speech, the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and Rector of UWED, Sodiq Safoyev, emphasized the significance of this publication, highlighting that “Vatan” has become a platform for discussing current domestic and foreign policy matters. He also noted that the magazine’s publication in English presents new opportunities for showcasing the image of New Uzbekistan to the global community.
Khusan Ermatov, a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and Editor-in-Chief of the journal, stated in his address that “Vatan” has become a reliable resource for scientists, politicians, researchers, and analysts to express their ideas and perspectives. He also stressed that the publication is open to all.
During the event, guests were able to view a video presentation of the special English issue of the magazine.
This magazine, published under the auspices of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan, was established in accordance with the instructions of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to promote national content development.
The special English issue begins with a beautiful poem by Azerbaijani poet Akif Bagir, titled “Uzbek is Coming”.
