The Korea Times to cover parliamentary elections in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, Alisher Abdusalomov, met with Oh Young-jin, President-Publisher of The Korea Times, to discuss further collaboration and coverage of significant events in Uzbekistan. During the meeting, it was acknowledged that the newspaper regularly features articles on the country’s major political, legal, and socio-economic reforms. Oh Young-jin emphasized that their long-standing partnership with the Embassy has helped foster a deep respect for Uzbekistan, its people, and its culture. Additionally, The Korea Times’ President-Publisher highlighted President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s active foreign policy and bold reforms, which have strengthened the country’s international standing. Both parties agreed to enhance their cooperation and extensively cover the upcoming elections for the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and Councils of People’s Deputies.
