General Manoj Pande, the Chief of Staff of the Indian Army, has arrived in Uzbekistan.
At the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan, a senior representative of the Indian Army was welcomed.
During a meeting with Major General Shukhrat Halmuhamedov, the First Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan, discussions were held on the potential for military cooperation between the two nations and the ongoing fifth phase of joint military exercises, which began at the Termez training ground today.
Following the talks, the Indian delegation visited the State Museum of the Armed Forces and viewed historical exhibits.
During his stay, General Manoj Pande is scheduled to participate in the inauguration of an information technology laboratory established with the support of India at the Academy of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan, observe the fifth edition of the “Dustlik 2024” joint military exercise between Uzbekistan and India at the Termez training ground, and tour the ancient city of Samarkand.
