On March 21, the New Uzbekistan Park in Tashkent hosted a festive celebration of Navruz. The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, delivered a speech and extended his congratulations to the people on the holiday. In his speech, he emphasized the special meaning of celebrating Navruz during the holy month of Ramadan, and extended warm greetings to compatriots living abroad. He also mentioned how the creative spirit of Navruz aligns with the goals of the ongoing reforms and rapid transformations in New Uzbekistan, which aim to improve living standards, uphold human dignity, and create a more environmentally-friendly country. The mahalla system, which plays an important role in various aspects of society, was also recognized and celebrated. The President extended his Navruz greetings to foreign ambassadors and representatives of international organizations, and the festivities continued with a grand concert featuring performers from various countries. The New Uzbekistan Park was beautifully decorated for the holiday, with exhibitions showcasing the country’s cultural diversity. The President also visited these exhibitions and enjoyed performances by folk and ethnographic ensembles. Festive celebrations are taking place across the country, with farmers sowing the seeds of future abundance and prosperity, and mahallas organizing improvement and charitable events.
