The Hokim of Surkhandarya region, Ulugbek Qosimov, was host to a delegation of ambassadors from China, Germany, the Czech Republic, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates to Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, which was attended by Ismatilla Irgashev, the Special Representative of the President for Afghanistan, and Ilkhom Khaydarov, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, the focus was on discussing ways to enhance economic cooperation in Surkhandarya region. This included topics such as attracting investments, implementing infrastructure projects, and strengthening trade and economic ties.
The discussions also touched upon ongoing projects related to economic cooperation with Afghanistan, such as the International Trade Center “Termez” and the opportunities available there. The meeting also highlighted the region’s abundant investment potential and the various sectors, industries, and projects that could be undertaken by attracting investors from these countries.
On the same day, the esteemed guests visited the International Trade Center “Termez” and the Termez Cargo Centre, a multifunctional transport and logistics hub, to get a first-hand look at the facilities and services offered there.
