Strategic and significant projects presented in Navoi region

The President was briefed on the new investment projects planned for Navoi region. In the last seven years, the region has attracted over $3.5 billion in investments, leading to the creation of 64,700 jobs and an export potential of $1.2 billion per year. Currently, there are 577 projects worth $2.1 billion being implemented in the region. Additionally, foreign investors and local entrepreneurs have formed over 100 strategic and significant projects worth $26.8 billion. 12 of these projects were presented to the President. The projects are being invested in by companies from various countries such as the United States, France, Germany, Austria, Russia, the UAE, Qatar, China, Japan, Korea, and Türkiye. These projects cover a wide range of industries including chemistry, energy, mining, electrical engineering, medicine, construction, textiles, and light industry. For example, in partnership with China, an industrial park specializing in chemical products and building materials will be created in Karmana district, along with a plant for the production of wind turbine blades. In the same district, a project for the production of aluminum containers for the food industry will be implemented in partnership with Russia. In Konimekh district, a project will be carried out in collaboration with Türkiye for the extraction and processing of 370 thousand tons of phosphorite per year, as well as the production of phosphoric acid and mineral fertilizers. Another project, in partnership with Austria, will involve the production of 170 thousand tons of sodium salts and caustic soda in the city of Navoi. These projects are expected to provide employment for over 17,800 people. The President has instructed to provide assistance to the initiators in organizational and financial matters and to expedite the implementation of these projects.
