Six large power plants will be launched by the end of 2024 as stated in the Presidential Decree “On the State Program for the Implementation of the Uzbekistan – 2030 Strategy in the Year of Support for Youth and Business” adopted on February 21, 2024.

In order to promote a green economy and increase the use of renewable energy sources, various measures will be taken, including the establishment of a market-based system for trading green energy certificates by April 1, 2024 and the approval of procedures for international greenhouse gas projects.

Starting from April 1, 2024, a modern monitoring, reporting, and verification system for climate change and a corresponding database will be gradually implemented.

Foreign investors will be involved in the commissioning of six large solar power plants with a combined capacity of 2,700 MW in Tashkent, Kashkadarya, Bukhara, Namangan, and Navoi regions by the end of 2024.

This is in accordance with the Presidential Decree and the State Program for the Implementation of the Uzbekistan – 2030 Strategy, which aims to support youth and business development.
