Seventh Round of Security Consultations Held between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan

Today in Tashkent, the Secretariat of the Security Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Office of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan held their seventh round of consultations. The event was attended by high-ranking officials and representatives from various security-related agencies and ministries of both countries.

The talks were led by Viktor Makhmudov, Secretary of the Security Council under the President of Uzbekistan, and Gizat Nurdauletov, Secretary of the Security Council of Kazakhstan. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in preventing and combating international terrorism, religious extremism, and transnational organized crime. The parties also discussed ways to maintain public order and respond to emergencies effectively.

It was highlighted that the strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are continuously growing and developing thanks to the strong political will and regular dialogues between Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The two parties reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation in the field of security and expressed their readiness to enhance the legal and contractual framework and develop bilateral coordination mechanisms. Joint initiatives were proposed to further deepen and expand security cooperation, and the importance of maintaining the current momentum in bilateral relations was emphasized.

Following the talks, a Protocol of Consultations was signed, outlining specific measures for deepening and expanding security cooperation between the two countries. The meeting concluded with a joint commitment to give a new impetus to bilateral relations by utilizing untapped potential.
