A panel discussion on the topic of “Public Diplomacy and Volunteering” was held at the Youth Camp, in partnership with the Association of Volunteers of Uzbekistan and the Public Diplomacy Center of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Uzbekistan.

During the discussion, participants delved into important issues surrounding the impact of volunteer initiatives on international relations and the promotion of friendship between nations. The focus was on successful projects and best practices implemented by the SCO Public Diplomacy Center in Uzbekistan.

The Head of the Center, Kabuljon Sabirov, stressed the significance of public diplomacy in strengthening interstate relations, with volunteer initiatives playing a crucial role in building trust and mutual understanding. He also emphasized the involvement of youth in such initiatives, as they contribute to establishing new connections and partnerships at the international level.

As part of the roundtable discussion, participants put forward proposals to expand international cooperation in volunteering, establish joint educational and social projects, and enhance the role of youth in public diplomacy.

Following the event, participants expressed their dedication to continued collaboration and the implementation of joint initiatives to foster the volunteer movement and strengthen intercultural ties.
