Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov is attending the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in Moscow. He arrived in the Russian Federation the day before for a working visit.
As an associate member of the CIS with a neutral status, Turkmenistan actively contributes to the development of cooperation in various fields within the Commonwealth. The country shares strong bonds of friendship and good neighborliness with other CIS states, as well as close historical and cultural ties, providing a solid foundation for mutually beneficial partnerships and enhancing their content.
The Summit participants, including members of delegations, will discuss current regional and international issues in both a narrow and expanded format. A signing ceremony for final documents is scheduled to take place at the end of the Summit.
