Today, the country held a nationwide greening campaign with the presence of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Among those in attendance at the event were the Chairperson of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads and representatives of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries, industry departments, representative offices of foreign countries and international organisations accredited in our country, as well as members of the general public.
Under the leadership of the President, the initiatives of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Hero-Arkadag, aimed at promoting environmental well-being, are being successfully carried out in the new historical era. In this regard, great importance is placed on expanding the forested areas in our country and preserving its natural biodiversity.
The state’s environmental policy is focused on creating a sustainable and clean natural environment for future generations. A key aspect of this policy is the active involvement of the population in efforts to protect our environment. The nationwide greening campaign contributes to the achievement of these noble goals and the formation of an environmental culture in our society.
The President’s state policy places special emphasis on issues related to environmental protection. The comprehensive reforms being implemented in the economic and social spheres of the country – as an essential condition for the prosperous life of our people – are closely linked to the environment.
In this context, it should be noted that in accordance with the program “Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state: the National Program for Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan for 2022-2052”, as well as the “Program of the President of Turkmenistan for Socio-Economic Development of the Country for 2022-2028”, extensive work is being carried out to create a clean ecological environment in our homeland.
