As part of his state visit to Qatar, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, attended the opening ceremony of the Expo 2023 Doha. The ceremony was graced by the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and leaders of Iraq, Yemen, and other countries.
The Expo Doha is the first global green exhibition to be hosted in the region, with the theme of “Green Desert, Better Environment” and will run until March of the following year. Participants of the event were able to explore the advanced technologies and advancements in environmental protection, ecosystem development, smart agriculture, growing new crops, and more.
The National Pavilion of Uzbekistan, which was part of the exhibition, showcased the latest technologies in intensive agriculture and livestock breeding, environmental management, and the country’s horticulture and food industries.
