On March 19, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a meeting with Suma Chakrabarti, the Advisor to the President of Uzbekistan on Economic Development, Good Governance, and International Cooperation. The main focus of the discussion was on the areas of work that the Advisor will be focusing on this year. 
Particular attention was given to promoting Uzbekistan’s investment potential globally, completing the country’s accession to the World Trade Organization, and enhancing the skills of public officials through training programs at top foreign educational institutions. 
The importance of organizing roadshows and the Tashkent International Investment Forum to attract foreign companies and financial institutions was also highlighted. The meeting also addressed the launch of the Tashkent International Commercial Court and measures to improve Uzbekistan’s position in international rankings and conduct research on the country’s economic development.
