The First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhodir Akhmedov, along with Deputy Minister of Culture Murodjon Majidov and other officials, visited the city of Samarkand. They were accompanied by Deputy Hokim of Samarkand region, Rustam Qobilov.
A working group was formed to assess the facilities and capabilities of the Eternal City complex for hosting the Sharq Taronalari festival.
The significance of organizing concert programs in 16 cities and districts of Samarkand region, with the participation of renowned international artists and representatives of the Uzbek stage, was emphasized. It was also noted that small working groups, consisting of representatives from various ministries and agencies, would be formed.
The discussion also focused on establishing operational headquarters at the international airport and railway station in Samarkand, as well as selecting and training over 100 volunteers to assist foreign festival participants.
Instructions were given to provide necessary facilities for organizing fairs and exhibitions, featuring master craftsmen from other regions.
