Yesterday marked the beginning of the rapid chess tournament for the Rustam Kasimjanov Cup at the International Chess Academy.
The event showcased the top grandmasters from five different countries, all with a FIDE rating of over 2634 points. These included Nodirbek Abdusattarov, Javokhir Sindorov, Nodirbek Yoqubboyev, Shamsiddin Vokhidov, Jakhongir Vokhidov from Uzbekistan, Richard Rapport from Hungary, Shakhriyar Mamedyarov from Azerbaijan, Alexander Grischuk from Russia, and Parham Maghsoodloo from Iran.
The first day of the tournament consisted of five intense rounds, followed by four more rounds on the second day. The event concluded with an eagerly awaited award ceremony to honor the tournament champions.
