Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Davron Vakhabov, recently traveled to Moscow to meet with Sergei Belyakov, Managing Director of the Russian online marketplace Ozon. The purpose of their meeting was to discuss the growth of e-commerce in Uzbekistan and the marketing of Uzbek manufacturers’ goods in the Russian market.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry suggested inviting Ozon representatives to Uzbekistan to gain insight into local businesses and attract potential partners. They also discussed the possibility of collaborating with the Chamber to provide training for entrepreneurs.

The two parties came to an agreement to establish “Made in Uzbekistan” showrooms, which will help promote building materials, electrical engineering, and textile products in the Russian market.

Since November 2023, Ozon has been directly selling goods in Uzbekistan. Customers can place orders from anywhere in the country and collect their purchases from a partner delivery point or Uzpost branch. The estimated delivery time for goods is 12 days.
