Uzbekistan has more than 3,000 industrial enterprises that contribute to air pollution. Most of these companies have outdated dust and gas cleaning equipment, which was previously imported, causing delays in updates. However, now there is an opportunity to produce competitive local products and provide services in this field. In the first nine months of this year, more than 100 enterprises have updated their dust and gas cleaning equipment.
This company is also playing a role in this matter. Their production volume increases every year, and localizing their products has reduced the cost without compromising on quality.
The company exports its products to Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Azerbaijan. This year, it is expected to reach $1 million in exports, and the company plans to expand its export geography and volume in the future.
During the visit, industrial goods from Navoi region were also showcased, including parts and equipment for heavy and light industries, compressors, electrical devices, copper and plastic pipes, and pump parts. All of these products have one thing in common – localization.
The President emphasized the importance of further developing hydropower in the country and instructed to involve more local companies in the construction of small and micro-hydroelectric power plants and the production of their components. It was also noted that implementing localization projects for large companies like Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company can reduce unemployment in the region.
