Uzbekistan’s goal is to educate capable leaders with strong communication skills and advanced problem-solving abilities for global issues. Today, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy held the opening ceremony for UWED MUN 2024, the Model UN established in Uzbekistan in 1991. The event was attended by various notable figures, including the Chinese Ambassador, UNDP Deputy Resident Representative, and representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, World Bank, and Ecological Party of Uzbekistan, as well as UWED professors, teachers, and students. In his speech, UWED Rector and First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sodyq Safoev, emphasized the importance of youth leadership in today’s world and encouraged active participation in discussing global issues. He also shared his personal experience of participating in international forums and highlighted the importance of dialogue and cooperation in achieving significant results.
