The Governor of Bukhara Region, Botir Zaripov, held a meeting with the ambassadors of various countries, including the United States, Türkiye, Latvia, the Republic of Korea, Mongolia, Bangladesh, Qatar, Pakistan, Palestine, and Egypt, as well as representatives from Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The meeting, attended by Deputy Foreign Minister Ilkhom Khaydarov, focused on discussing ways to enhance economic cooperation with Bukhara region, such as attracting investments, implementing infrastructure projects, and strengthening trade and economic relations. The ambassadors also explored potential joint projects and opportunities for further developing relations.

In his welcome remarks, Mr. Zaripov spoke about the region’s history and current development, highlighting efforts to attract foreign investment. He invited investors to collaborate and take advantage of the various incentives offered in industries such as textiles, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, building materials, electrical engineering, agriculture, renewable energy, and modern hotel construction.

Cooperation was also proposed for implementing projects in free economic and small industrial zones, introducing advanced technologies for storing and processing agricultural products, and establishing light industry enterprises to produce high-value-added products.

The ambassadors expressed their appreciation for the warm welcome and pledged to work towards developing mutually beneficial relations with Bukhara region and attracting investors. They also expressed readiness to provide comprehensive support for initiatives aimed at strengthening trade, economic, investment, agricultural, scientific, educational, tourist, cultural, and humanitarian ties between Uzbekistan and other countries.
