The purpose of the OECD Public Governance Review is to thoroughly examine Uzbekistan’s public administration system, evaluate its effectiveness, and provide recommendations for further improvement. Special attention is given to promoting gender equality, enhancing civil service regulations, and reducing administrative burdens. Foreign experts emphasized the need to clarify the roles and responsibilities of government agencies, improve coordination between ministries, and implement a merit-based system for public administration reform. The launch of the next phase of the project was also announced, which will focus on building the capacity of government agencies to implement the review’s recommendations.
