On December 6, the Press Secretary of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aidos Ukibay, visited Uzbekistan. During the meeting at the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ukibay conveyed greetings and best wishes from Nursultan Nazarbayev to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. He also donated a copy of Nazarbayev’s book “My Life. From dependence to freedom” with the author’s signature.

The memoirs, which combine factual accuracy and personal opinion, include recollections of Nazarbayev’s journey, the formation and development of the country, and his evaluation of the political events of the last few decades when he was leading the nation. Among the people featured in the book are well-known politicians whom he encountered in the political arena. Nazarbayev describes his relationships with heads of state, government, and other distinguished individuals.

Nursultan Nazarbayev mentions the Leader of Uzbekistan – “a major political figure Shavkat Mirziyoyev”. The book highly commends the reforms Mirziyoyev has implemented, which have resulted in the growth of the country’s economic potential. It is noted with satisfaction that cooperation with Kazakhstan has been significantly strengthened since the start of Mirziyoyev’s presidency, and that he has been actively reinforcing ties with fraternal countries.
