On October 31 of this year, the Presidential Resolution “On measures to establish Navoi State University” was passed. According to the resolution, Navoi State University will be founded using Navoi State Pedagogical Institute as its basis. Considering the potential for growth in the region’s industries, one of the main goals and focuses of the university will be to create a comprehensive education system for the training, retraining, and advanced training of scientific and pedagogical personnel equipped with modern knowledge and skills. All current students at Navoi State Pedagogical Institute will continue their studies at the university, and starting from the 2024/2025 academic year, graduates will receive a university diploma. Beginning in the 2025/2026 academic year, the university will offer programs in the following fields: exact and natural sciences, information technology, artificial intelligence, economics, business and tourism, investment management, agriculture, ecology and environmental protection, and logistics. Collaborative educational programs will be established with leading higher education institutions in both foreign and domestic countries, offering the opportunity for students to receive two diplomas.
