Uzbekistan is actively utilizing renewable energy sources and is currently working on projects to introduce solar panels and wind turbines in collaboration with prominent foreign companies like Masdar and ACWA Power. During a meeting between Jakhongir Jamolov, Deputy Chairman of the Uzeltechsanoat Association, and Masdar representative Bekzod Teshabayev, the discussion revolved around the supply of products for wind and solar power plants, as well as energy storage systems, by local electrotechnical enterprises. The meeting also included talks about cooperation with local experts in the implementation of projects by foreign companies. The President has set a target to increase the total capacity of green power plants to 27 GW by 2030, which will require cable and wire products worth $500 million. To achieve this goal and meet Uzbekistan’s demand for eco-friendly energy sources, Uzeltechsanoat is actively collaborating with Masdar, ACWA Power, and other major companies.
