On Wednesday, LG Energy Solution Ltd. reported a third-quarter net income of 420.5 billion won (US$312.3 million), a 124 percent increase from the same period last year. The company also announced that operating income for July to September was 731.2 billion won, a 40.1 percent jump from the previous year, and sales rose 7.5 percent to 8.22 trillion won.
An analysis conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency, showed that the operating profit was 10.6 percent higher than the average forecast. There was no prediction for the net profit.
