The Hokim of Surkhandarya region, Ulugbek Qosimov, met with a delegation headed by Kiyohiko Kuroda, an expert from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). It was highlighted that the friendly relationship between Uzbekistan and Japan, as well as the strong collaboration between Surkhandarya region and Japanese companies, are continuously developing and new projects are being implemented. Furthermore, discussions were held on the establishment of the Uzbekistan-Japan Technological University in the oasis, as well as the implementation of various joint projects in education, healthcare, and other sectors. The launch of a new platform to ensure safe migration to Japan, as well as the implementation of joint educational programs and other agreements with JICA, were also thoroughly discussed.
