Director of the International Institute for Central Asia (IICA), Javlon Vakhabov, engaged in discussions with Asein Isaev, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, in Bishkek.
During the initial conversation, Mr. Isaev acknowledged that the strong relationship between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan has been elevated to a higher level of comprehensive strategic partnership, thanks to the political determination of their respective presidents.
The meeting highlighted that the improvement of bilateral relations and resolution of various conflicts was made possible through Uzbekistan’s focus on regionalization, promoting good neighborliness in Central Asia, and advancing integration processes.
A joint platform has been established to facilitate the implementation of mutually beneficial projects in the areas of transportation, energy, water resources, ecology, and security.
The representative from the Ministry emphasized the significant role of the Consultative Meetings of Central Asian Heads of State in this progress. These meetings have established a new format for interstate relations, strengthening unity and potential in the region.
The parties expressed their support for enhanced cooperation between think tanks and research institutions in both countries. This would promote the exchange of knowledge and the development of concrete proposals, taking bilateral and multilateral collaboration to a new level.
